The program was carried out in three stages: training for assisting students, education and training for 10 health cadres, and training for 38 type II diabetes patients. Each stage included Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) and blood glucose examinations as indicators of success. The results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and skills of both cadres and patients. Before the intervention, 90% of cadres and 74% of patients had low knowledge levels, but after the program, 80% of cadres and 68.43% of patients achieved good knowledge. The patients’ ABI scores also improved, with the number of borderline perfusion scores decreasing from 11 to 6 individuals, while normal scores increased from 27 to 32. These findings demonstrate that education and training on Foot and Ankle Exercises are effective in enhancing knowledge, practical skills, and the prevention of neuropathic complications among diabetes mellitus patients in Panda Village, Bima Regency.
Muhtar Julhana Aniharyati Dian Vitasari Indra Rahmad Ahmad Copyright (c) 2026 julhana julhana, Muhtar, Aniharyati, Dian Vitasari, Indra Rahmad, Ahmad https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 3 2 165 175 10.70920/pengabmaskes.v3i1.318 Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Keluarga dalam Menerapkan Metode Keperawatan Edukatif untuk Penderita TB Paru http://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/337
This community service program aims to evaluate the knowledge and skills of families in implementing supportive-educative nursing methods to improve medication adherence in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). Pre-test and post-test methods were used to compare the effectiveness of this educational intervention. The training involved providing information about pulmonary TB, the importance of adherence to treatment, and family support. The analysis revealed a significant increase in respondents' knowledge, from 10% in the good category before the intervention to 73.3% afterward; and in skills, from 10% to 90%. This intervention demonstrates that family participation and support influence the treatment outcomes of pulmonary TB patients, with active interaction in the learning process. This study emphasizes the importance of the family's role in improving patient adherence to treatment regimens and reducing the social stigma associated with this disease. In conclusion, by improving knowledge and skills through a supportive-educational nursing approach, families can serve as key supporters in the care of pulmonary TB patients. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for family-based intervention strategies in TB control, as well as provide a basis for developing a more inclusive and comprehensive health education model.
Aniharyati Muhtar Copyright (c) 2026 aniharyati aniharyati, Muhtar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 3 2 176 185 10.70920/pengabmaskes.v3i2.337 Optimalisasi Pendidikan Kesehatan Remaja: Pencegahan Penyakit Menular Seksual dan Pembentukan Gaya Hidup Sehat http://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/348
This community service activity aimed to increase adolescents’ knowledge and awareness regarding the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students of SMK 12 Loa Buah, Samarinda City. According to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), the prevalence of stunting in West Sumatra reached 23.6%. One effective nutrition-sensitive intervention for stunting prevention is the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program, which consists of five main pillars. The working area of Belimbing Health Center in Padang shows a high-risk profile, with 449 stunted children, 247 underweight children, and exclusive breastfeeding coverage of only 62.76%. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of pregnant women and mothers with children under two years old in implementing proper sanitation practices through the five STBM pillars. The intervention improved community participation, sanitation behavior, and family support for clean and healthy living. The community is expected to take a more active role in maintaining environmental sanitation and adopting clean and healthy living behaviors as an effort to prevent and reduce the prevalence of stunting. This activity is anticipated to contribute to the reduction of stunting rates in support of achieving the Golden Generation 2045.
Asep Irfan Darwel Delima Copyright (c) 2026 Asep Irfan, Darwel, Delima https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 3 2 220 228 10.70920/pengabmaskes.v3i2.362 Pencegahan Stunting Melalui Pemberdayaan Ibu Hamil dengan Pendekatan Holistik: Mencapai Generasi yang Sehat dan Berkualitas http://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/363
This community service program aimed to prevent stunting through the holistic empowerment of pregnant women in the working area of Belimbing Public Health Center, Kuranji District, Padang City. The lack of early detection data and limited access to healthcare services highlight the urgent need for preventive screening and health education. This activity aimed to identify metabolic risk factors blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid levels among the Papua Healthy Heart Foundation members. The implementation method included preparing calibrated equipment and conducting screening activities on November 9, 2024. Screening results were analyzed based on sex and age group. Findings revealed that 20.9% of female and 50% of male participants had abnormal glucose levels, while 40.9% of women and 50% of men presented with elevated cholesterol. The prevalence of hyperuricemia was lower among men (16.7%) than among women (41.7%). Interestingly, individuals aged over 60 demonstrated better metabolic control than younger age groups. The study concludes that adults aged 40–60 represent the highest-risk population. Therefore, targeted nutritional education and regular health monitoring are essential to reduce the burden of NCDs. These findings provide a foundational basis for designing locally tailored intervention programs.
Indra Taufik Sahli Asrianto Asrianto Risda Hartati Fajar Bakti Kurniawan Afika Herma Wardani Rina Purwati Leberina Kawaitow Copyright (c) 2026 Indra Taufik Sahli, Asrianto Asrianto, Risda Hartati, Fajar Bakti Kurniawan, Afika Herma Wardani, Rina Purwati, Leberina Kawaitow https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-03-02 2026-03-02 3 2 246 252 10.70920/pengabmaskes.v3i2.380
