The methods included basic physical examinations, body mass index (BMI) measurements, mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC), blood pressure checks, and dental health evaluations. The activity was conducted in April 2025 at Dormitory Campus A of Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado, involving 45 students from various study programs. The results showed that 31.1% of participants suffered from Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED), 35.8% had underweight status, 22.2% were classified as thin, and 13.4% were overweight or obese. Additionally, 35.8% of the students had low blood pressure, while 64.4% were in the ideal weight category. The program also provided nutrition education, promoted healthy eating patterns, and distributed iron tablets. These findings highlight the need for continuous interventions in the form of health education and monitoring. In conclusion, the IPC approach is effective in detecting health problems among adolescent girls while improving students' knowledge and attitudes towards their personal health.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Yulien Adam, Atik Purwandari, Anita Lontaan, Agnes Montolaluhttps://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/204Efektivitas Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) Berbasis Pangan Lokal dalam Meningkatkan Cakupan N/D Balita 2025-07-06T19:08:35+07:00Yunitayunita@poltekkesbengkulu.ac.idDesri Suryanidesrisuryani@poltekkesbengkulu.ac.idAdelia Aperiliana Bellaadeliaaperiliana@gmail.comDarmawati SantosoDarmawati.Santoso@gmail.comDeswita Maharani Br MataniariDeswitaMaharani.Br.Mataniari@gmail.comDinda Puspita GitaDindaPuspitaGita@gmail.comErva Aulia JannaErvaAuliaJanna@gmail.comEva Anggi PuspitaEvaAnggiPuspita@gmail.comFitria OginaFitriaOgina@gmail.comIzzatul IlmiIzzatulIlmi@gmail.comJuita SariJuitaSari@gmail.comMawarmawar@gmail.comMita AprianiMitaApriani@gmail.comMuhammad Revil SyaputraMuhammadRevilSyaputra@gmail.com
The nutritional status of toddlers is an important indicator in determining the quality of public health. In the working area of Beringin Raya Health Center, the coverage of toddlers with weight gain (N/D) in 2024 only reached 66.09%, below the national target of 88%. This community service aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of local food-based Supplementary Feeding (PMT) in increasing N/D coverage. A retrospective comparative descriptive method was used with total sampling of 23 nutritionally vulnerable toddlers. The intervention was carried out for 14 days using local ingredients such as tofu, chicken nuggets, and processed corn, accompanied by cadre assistance and Village Community Deliberation (MMD). The results showed an increase in the average weight from 9.89 kg to 10.00 kg. Inhibiting factors included low maternal nutrition literacy, weak economic conditions, and poor sanitation. The intervention also resulted in cross-sector commitments to support program sustainability. Conclusion: Local food-based PMT has proven effective in increasing toddler weight, but program integration with nutrition education, continuous mentoring, and policy support is necessary.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Desri Suryanihttps://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/230Simulasi Pengunaan Dongeng “Bubu dan Biji Ajaib” kepada Petugas Lapangan Terkait Kepatuhan Minum Obat pada Anak dengan HIV/AIDS2025-07-22T09:25:15+07:00Sri Handayaniririhermana388@gmail.comRifda WahyuniRfd.wahyuni@gmail.comGusliani Eka Putriguslianiekaputri@gmail.com
The incidence of HIV/AIDS in children continues to rise, mainly due to mother-to-child transmission. Although antiretroviral (ARV) therapy effectively reduces mortality, adherence among children remains low. This community service activity aimed to improve field officers’ pedagogical skills in educating children on ARV adherence through storytelling. The activity was conducted on June 12, 2025, at Yayasan Akbar in Padang City, involving 10 field officers. The method included training on storytelling techniques using the book "Bubu dan Biji Ajaib" (Bubu and the Magic Seed) and hand puppets, supported by pre-test and post-test evaluations. Results showed a significant increase in storytelling skills, with an average score improvement of 22.41 points after the intervention. The most notable improvements were in eye contact, creativity, facial expressions, and mastery of hand puppet use. In conclusion, the storytelling simulation effectively enhanced participants’ ability to deliver educational messages to children and should be integrated into child health education programs, especially for children living with HIV/AIDS.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Sri Handayani, Rifda Wahyuni, Gusliani Eka Putrihttps://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/249Pendampingan Kader Lansia dalam Edukasi Kram Perut dengan Kompres Hangat pada Daerah Perut2025-08-16T15:52:40+07:00Rustam Aji Rochmatadjieroestamadjie@gmail.comDewi Lusianidewilusiani25@gmail.comSherly Ratih Frichesyarius Santi Ajhiesherlyratih@gmail.comRoro Ajhie Ayuningtyasroroajhie25@gmail.comIndah Fitri Andiniindahfitriani25@gmail.comFarida Esmiantifaridaesmianti@gmail.com
This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of elderly health cadres in providing first aid for abdominal cramps using a warm compress. The implementation method included health education through interactive lectures, discussions, and live demonstrations of warm compress techniques, followed by participant practice under facilitator guidance. The target audience consisted of six elderly health cadres and twenty-one elderly participants from the “Sekolah Lansia Tangguh” (Resilient Elderly School) in Dusun Curup Village, Rejang Lebong Regency. The results showed that after the counseling and practice sessions, 2 out of 6 elderly cadres (33.3%) and 4 out of 21 elderly participants (19.0%) were able to correctly demonstrate how to relieve abdominal cramps using a warm compress. In conclusion, education and mentoring for elderly health cadres have the potential to enhance community capacity in applying warm compresses as first aid for abdominal cramps. It is recommended that similar activities be carried out continuously to broaden the reach of knowledge and skills within the community.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Rustam Aji Rochmat, Dewi Lusiani, Sherly Ratih Frichesyarius Santi Ajhie, Roro Ajhie Ayuningtyas, Indah Fitri Andini, Farida Esmiantihttps://jurnal.kesehatan.cendikiajenius-ind.id/index.php/PengabmasKes/article/view/250Edukasi Sadari "Pemeriksaan Payudara Sendiri" untuk Deteksi Dini Kanker Payudara di Kelurahan Jatibaru Kota Bima2025-08-17T17:53:35+07:00Julhanajulhana12345@gmail.comNurwahidahjulhana12345@gmail.comDian Vitasaridian@gmail.comIndra RahmadIndrarahmad333@gmail.comLalu Arwan DarmajayaLaluarwandarmajaya@gmail.comAbdul HarisAbdulHaris@gmail.com
This community service program was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the community, particularly women in Jatibaru Village, Bima City, in early detection of breast cancer through Breast Self-Examination (BSE).
